We're a hand-crafted furniture company founded by mother-son duo Greg and Denise Frehr, building one-of-a-kind swing dining tables, lounges, and beds from our California workshop. Every product in the About SwingTables story starts from a simple idea: what if a dining table could be playful and grown-up at the same time?

The About SwingTables story is a family story. Greg and Denise Frehr founded SwingTables to bring craftsmanship, playfulness, and gathering to homes, offices, and public spaces. The About SwingTables founding team works directly with every client, from residential homeowners to corporate procurement teams, on every Custom SwingTable order.  

About SwingTables: Our Craft and Materials

About SwingTables is, at its core, about craftsmanship. Every SwingTable is hand-crafted in our California workshop using weather-resistant Trex® composite and powder-coated steel framing. We work in small batches, made-to-order, with no warehouse of pre-built inventory. The About SwingTables approach is slower, more deliberate, and lets us deliver a piece that's truly built for your space.

About SwingTables: Our Clients and Installations

About SwingTables is also about the people and places where our work lives. Our SwingTables have been installed for Google, Adobe, Microsoft, Reddit, Virgin Hotels, Pritzker Group, Sphero, The Gateway, and dozens of private homes and public spaces. Custom SwingTables have gone to actor Vin Diesel, the University of Illinois campus, the Jobot office in Newport Beach, and a public event on Governors Island in New York City.

Our Founders

Greg Frehr, a passionate designer and furniture fabricator, began his journey in the industry at the age of 22. His love for design and furniture creation eventually led him to develop the concept of SwingTables. During the company's first year, Greg's mother, Denise, played a crucial role in its growth. With her entrepreneurial background, Denise joined the team, forming the strong mother-son partnership that runs the company today.
